Faith Comes Through Hearing

Scripture: Romans 10:17

• Hearing is essential to receiving the message of salvation.
• Faith requires listening.
• We must spiritually listen to the Word of God to grasp its truth and allow it to transform us.

Application:

• Take time to listen attentively when God’s Word is spoken, whether it’s through Scripture, preaching, or even conversations with others.
• In our busy world, let us not neglect the practice of actively listening to God’s voice through His Word.

3. The Message of Christ

• Paul makes it clear that the message we hear is about Christ.
• Jesus is the central message of the gospel.
• Everything we believe as Christians revolves around the person and work of Christ.
• It is through hearing about Him—His life, death, resurrection, and promise of eternal life—that our faith is formed and strengthened.

Application:

• Focus your hearing on Jesus—His story and His truth.
• Our faith is rooted in Christ alone, when we hear the good news of Jesus, our faith is deepened and strengthened.
